Yes, I am aware that I'm a little early. I really have not begun to think julbanor and I have not yet tokstressat with Christmas shopping.
Instead, I simply took Christmas as a pretext to ask around on Twitter what people most of all wishing for a Christmas gift from the publishing industry. It is possible that I will not be able to deliver it in a beautifully wrapped package just for Christmas Eve, but I'm still very curious about everyone.
I will continue to ask people via Twitter and I am also grateful for any comments that may be given directly on the blog. The result, I thought to use as some sort of unofficial list of priorities and as a basis for discussion and development within the industry. Perhaps as a small bank of ideas, open for all to pick out the goodies.
The list I update the post after which it is filled.
Here are some of the first preferences:
1st @ datum desires: A search engine for ALL books from ALL publishers lest Adlibris / Bokus become the de facto standard for Swedish boksök.
Comment:
@ petrajankov points out: Is the iofs Bokrondellen, but it costs money to use but has EVERYTHING.
The second @ Korlingsord wish for: A piratbok online - sent out for free on Christmas Eve - with a large jultomtehjärta on ...
The third @ QueenOfelia wish for: a large Nordic literature exchange!
The fourth @ jimmy Asklund desires: fewer detective stories, and more poetry collections in the pocket would be the best Christmas present.
I hope now that you want to help me with more Christmas wishes directed to the publishing industry. And as I said, even though we can not make reality of the requests this fall, so I'm sure that there will be a number of gems here that we should pursue.
Once the list has grown a little bigger, I thought to convert it to an open vote to see which of the requests that you consider most important.

The comment on the comment of Petra is Bokrondellen addressed to the publisher and bookseller. I wish me a boksöksajt for consumers. A bokrondellen open to the public and linked to a köpfunktion searching out any format in any online stores that sell the book, perfect, and as little functionality for browsing books from slightly different angles, thematically, classic, great, top sellers, top marks (wow, then it has to be connected to a collection of reviews as well ;) etc. I would sit and look all the time. Would not have time to read.
Niclas: We should also welcome Smakprov.se in such a site. I definitely think you have a good idea there. And I think that it is possible to create a good, independent site for this, ideally linked to Bokrondellen in any way.
Oh, a standard e-book readers is high on my wish list, only one format, so that the technology-shy that I do not have to choose, weigh the pros and cons, the risk that the wrong choice.
The ability to submit manuscripts via e-mail had been fantastic. If you also can assign this function to a clever system that gives some status response back automatically as it would have been even better. To know that the script arrived, someone started to read it and so on ... give a lot of us who submit manuscripts.
