On 19 October, is it finally time for the premiere of my very first one-man show.
It has happened so much in the past year. Now on Sunday, October 2, it is exactly a year since my friend's stand-up comedian Karin Adelsköld convinced me to try out this comic genre. A genre which I have never believed that I liked.
Last spring, I came second in the beginner race Bungee Comedy and after that I needed a new clear milestones. Setting up a 45-minute one-man show was of course a completely crazy idea, but crazy ideas never was an obstacle to me before.
This show is probably the most personal I will perform on stage in years to come. It revolves around some of the key sources of power in my life: the thirst for knowledge and need confirmation. My regular smånördiga humor is, of course, but you can not talk about these things without involving blacks. And I'm frankly a little curious about how people around me will recognize me after seeing the show. It is something revealing.

The show is one of more than a dozen newly-written shows that are included in the festival week, "Mission: Laughter" at the Boulevard Theatre October 18 to 29, organized by Mind Flyers / Bokastandup.se. You could buy festival pass and go see more of the shows!
