Another proof why my goals should only be substantive

by Mattias Boström December 26, 2011

There's a reason that all my targets in life are substantive. For as soon as milestones include other factors that I have no control, they are no longer safe realizable goals - they are just pipe dreams. I aim to write a book, but I can not aim it to sell a certain number of copies. The very creation is the goal, the rest is just a hope. I had last fall, aims to write a show and I did. And yes, I had hoped that many would see it, but it was not part of the case itself. Right now I aim to to in May, have produced 20 minutes really strong comic support materials. That I will then be able to appear with it's just a hope.

When I last spring, was asked by the production company felt that participate in the new radio show detectives , I was so damn happy and proud. I love to appear on radio and not least in P1, that talk can get bre out. And most fun of all: Jessika Gedin as host! I met Jessika first time in the late 90's and have run into her occasionally over the years. In recent years we have also talked more about our common interest in Sherlock Holmes.

The program detectives is a cozy talk show where the light-hearted element of competition is not really that important. And it was really fun to record it in Filts premises in the old town in midsummer week. The series was broadcast in late summer, but as the prime topic was postponed a week due to the tragic events in Norway, so was the whole series displaced and closing program was held no longer in table. It was the program where I competed against Annina Rabe. It made me not so much - the program would instead be broadcast in prime time in the holiday season: the day after Christmas right after Winter Prat were.

It was my hope that the program would be broadcast in P1 at 14.30 today. And sure enough. ANNOUNCER påannonserade program participants Annina Rabe and Mattias Boström. And that was the program series detectives that listeners could hear. But someone happened to go wrong in the program control and instead sent the penultimate section, which had already been sent in September. Certainly a good section.

But I have no control over it. My goal in life met yet - despite these human factors. I understand that you do not stop running program when you discover the miss - the tampering with of course the whole tableau. You might as well send the old program in the replay. What does it matter, what matters is that you fill the transmission space. It's like we're publishing the proper covers of a book, but allows content to be the author's previous book.

Yes, I was of course angry and hugely disappointed today. When I and my friends Martin and Trampe wrote the book "Now it bloody well gone too far! Angry letters to the Broadcasting Commission " so we had fun for all the angry listeners who hung up on little things and then sat down to write long letters to the Broadcasting Commission of Stig Järrels necklace, about karate kicks on crispbread or smallest deviation from the schedule ... Suddenly, I understanding of all these angry women and (mostly) men.

This sour and disappointed is of course almost over. And it was still fun to record the program and it goes really well to listen to it online (thank God for the radio pod - there were no errors).

Content-wise it was good. The rest I do not blame me over.

Thanks for this - you're wise you! I will listen - it will be great fun! But I'll wait until tomorrow when all family members have traveled back to their own homes and I have a little calm after the storm. On this page I intend to follow - I like to collect on the wise words and thoughts!
