by Mattias Boström August 13, 2010

Today, August 13 published SSWC-book 2010th Further down in this blog post is info on how to order the book. You are also free to download eboksversionen of the book, both as an epub file and as a pdf.

I have previously written about the work on the book here on the blog and even guest blogged at Hello literature! At SSWC page here on the blog you can read the invitation that went out to the writers at the beginning of July.

The book's blurb:

In connection with Sweden Social Web Camp on Tjärö in Blekinge archipelago of 13 to 15 August 2010 will be published this book, with contributions by many of the camp participants. In one of the texts write Joakim Jardenberg of Raphael's fresco "The School of Athens":

"Completed in 1511 illustrates the artist's picture of ancient Greece. Interpretations argue that almost all great philosophers and thinkers from antiquity are represented, but it is clear that it is Plato and Aristotle who walk through the city center. The two friends are discussing eagerly and Plato pointing to the heavens, while Aristotle is on the earth. Their discussion is followed by an active listening collection, but around them, it boils with activity. It left no room for any doubt that they are part of a context.

The painting represents to me a clear picture of what we now call social media. Conversations, both large and small. Collaborations, bubbles, a whole that is greater than each individual. Not one center but several centers. Everywhere, things happen, this boils it. Sometimes light-hearted and laid-back, but more often leaned forward and participation. "

This might as well be a description of the SSWC-book 2010th Texts, many of which are already published on different blogs, which are snapshots of conversations - answers to already asked questions, and statements that are waiting for response. And they are part of the diverse conversations on the web that actually for us humans to come. Gathered in a common flow, every word and thought some of our development.

Just want to tell, in Stanza is a wonderfully simple way to bring home both PDF and ePub version.
Go to the library. Click Downloads and then Edit. Top is a section which I think is called Add by URL, type. Paste the address there and a couple of seconds later, the book is in place.

(Do you just want pdf, they are of course even easier. Click on the link, when it opened in Safari, you can choose to save to the PDF reader you have installed, for example stanza)

Too easy, iphone-proprietary.
